By the time you read this
I will be lagged in the past
I am sending this to you
With the hope that it finds you

As i am texting you
I also have a past..
That always lives me stranded

A past that i know
A past that was once a present
That i never forgot
That gave me a focus

Comes just as a reminder
To take you back

So that you never forget
And that you always remember
The you before the current you
And that you visualize
The you after the current you

Our motivation lives with us
We work hand in hand
They walk right beside us
We just hardly recognize them
With our little faith and little self trust.

To conquer yourself
And face your fear
And be better than the past
